At the Concorde District Swim and Dive Championships, freshmen Natalie Leake broke her own 100-yard breaststroke record twice, lowering her time to a 1:07.21 on Friday and then again on Saturday to a 1:05.87.

At the Northern Region Swim & Dive Championships, freshman Natalie Leake finished 3rd in the 100 breaststroke with an All-American time of 1:05.80. Natalie also added a 6th place finish in the girls 50 freestyle. Natalie will be representing CVHS in both events next weekend at the VHSL State Championship meet. In the 200 medley relay, Sana Alloo, Natalie, Susie Lesniewski & Katie Lesniewski finished 7th, broke the school record, & qualified for States. Later in the meet, Katie, Natalie, & Susie teamed up with Elyse Dietz in the 200 freestyle relay to finish 5th and break the school record. That relay qualified for States a week earlier. On the boys side of the meet, Matt Dietz finished 11th in the 100 freestyle. The boys 200 freestyle relay consisting of Matt, Andrew Newman, Tyler Fisher, & Will Balberde finished 10th & qualified to compete in the state meet. In the final event of the meet, Matt, Andrew, and Will welcomed Taylor Knight into the 400 freestyle relay & finished 10th with a state-qualifying time.

At the VHSL State Swim & Dive Championship on Feb. 9-10, Natalie Leake finished 4th in the 100 breastroke and 13th in the 50 freestyle. The girls 200 medley relay - Sana Alloo, Natalie Leake, Susie Lesniewski, and Katie Lesniewski - finished 14th. The girls 200 freestyle relay - Katie Lesniewski, Natalie Leake, Susie Lesniewski, and Elyse Dietz - finished 12th. On the boys side of the meet, the 200 freestyle relay - Matt Dietz, Andrew Newman, Tyler Fisher, and Will Balberde - finished 12th.
