Wildcat Field Hockey Suffers First Loss of Season

The Wildcat Field Hockey Team fell to the crosstown rival, Chantilly, 3-0 in the Bulldog Invitational Tournament.  The Wildcats were unable to get past a strong Charger defense. Maggie Montgomery started in goal and had two great saves early. Carolyn Macek played a good portion of the game in goal and had a total of eight saves. Chantilly scored once in the first half.  CVHS came out strong in the second half, but Chantilly scored two more quick goals - one of them after a diving save by Macek was regained by a Chantilly player who lifted it past Macek's outstretched hand.  Katy Kelly played another strong defensive game.
