Varsity Field Hockey Win Streak at 4 After Victory over Langley

The varsity field hockey team improved to 6-2 with a 2-1 victory over Langley.The Wildcats first goal came with under 5 minutes remaining in the first half, with a penalty corner inserted by Molly MacDonnell to Haili Hartman, to Susie Lesniewski for the score.  Langley countered just 2 minutes into the second half, when a high hard shot from the top of the circle was saved by Centreville goalie Carolyn Macek, but the rebound went to an open Langley player for the score.  Centreville pulled ahead with 10 minutes remaining in the game on another penalty corner, from MacDonnell to Hartman and back to MacDonnell for the score.  The Centreville offense took a total of 15 shots on goal, and Macek totaled 4 saves in the game.  Strong defensive performances were made by Emily Bollman and Vicky LaLiberte.
