JV Cats Lose to Westfield, 0-1

The game between the JV Wildcats and Westfield was even in the first half. Neither team had a single shot on goal. Possession kept switching back and forth in the center of the field. Westfield changed that by scoring just two minutes in the second half off a penalty corner. They took 4 additional shots on goal in the half, 3 saved by Wildcat goalie Brittanie Peterson, and one by defensive fullback Nancy Herbert, who backed up Peterson's attacking save attempt, and knocked out the Westfield shot. Solid defensive efforts were also shown by Carina Kang, Maggie Dulkerian, and Megan Bell. On offense, Jessie Dagata had several nice outlet passes, and Hayley Carlson displayed some talented dribble breakaways.
